I've returned my Maxtor Hard drive,but the Indian guy there refused to exchange it to a Western Digital and he was asking me to wait a week and when I asked him to return my money back since i didn't get any use of the hard drive he refused to return the 69KD and wanted to return 60kd instead,So I kept arguing with him until he told me to come back tommoro,So i went today and took the 1TB Western Digital 70KD worth hard drive and thats what i wanted to happen >:)
I GOT WHAT I WANTED !

i got one of those... its filled with all sorta tv shows and now i wish i had gone with the 2tb!!!!
Yeah, I got one of those but 2TB. I mirrored it so about 1TB useable only to safeguard against single drive failure (mostly family videos/photos and some data files).
My Disaster Recovery training from work kicks in and I get paranoid :)... I'm thinking to archive on DVD as well... hmm.. actually, probably just get another external 1GB and archive to it on weekly basis on something and store it off site. The only problem is when copying between the two disks, they'll have to be in the same house/location. Hmm.. I'll just use a 3rd portable HD (doesn't have to be large since will copy only the newer files) to transport the new files into the location where I'll keep the offsite disk...
too much, u think?
hmm... maybe I should just create a VPN between the two sites and sync incremently over the net at night.
western digital are the best i got a 160 gb portable drive but going to upgrade to a 500gb wd surprisingly it only costs 25kd but
blasha,,ya i think im going to get another hard drive too but this time i will buy a 1 TB internal hard drive for my next desktop computer which im going to buy soon

nbq,,well i rather that u get an internal hard drive's cuz they are more safer to backup files,,but if u wanted an external one then buy a drive that has the RAID function for more safety
